Chantilly is the finest of the bridal laces — light, delicate, and defined by its fine ground and detailed floral work. It drapes rather than holds, which is why it is used where softness is wanted and why it takes patience to work with.

The dropped waist
A dropped waist moves the narrowest point of the gown below the natural waist, lengthening the body through the torso before the skirt begins. It is a vintage line, and on the right frame it is one of the most elegant in bridal.
