Beatrice

A celebration of the simple, because simple is the ultimate sophistication. This one-shoulder gown moulds around the body to highlight your form and draw the eye to an elegantly shaped cowl back.

Why simple is harder

A gown with no lace, no beading and no embellishment has nowhere to hide. Every seam, every line and every millimetre of fit is visible — which is exactly why a gown like Beatrice has to be made to your measurements rather than altered toward them.

When it is right, it looks effortless. That is the whole point.

One shoulder, cowl back

The single shoulder creates an asymmetry that draws the eye diagonally across the body, which is quietly flattering in a way a symmetrical neckline is not. It also gives you one clean shoulder to wear a veil against.

At the back, a cowl falls in soft folds rather than sitting flat — movement built into a gown that is otherwise all clean line. She is understated from the front and quietly dramatic from behind.

Made for you

Every gown is made to measure.

Nothing in the collection is bought off a rack. Each gown is made for one bride, to her measurements, through the same bespoke process — five fittings, a made-to-measure toile, and a gown that fits only her.

Come and see it in the Christchurch studio. Details can be adjusted, fabrics reconsidered and necklines changed — the collection is a starting point, not a catalogue.

From $3,800 Made to measure. Final price depends on fabric and the detail your design calls for.
